Overview

The Roland CAMM-1 GR2 series handles vinyl graphics at a separate cutting workstation. It cuts lettering, decorative contours and heat-transfer vinyl applications. Printed labels and stickers require a separate printer. GR2-540 cuts up to 1,372 mm wide, accepts media 50–1,594 mm wide and rolls up to 20 kg. GR2-640 cuts up to 1,627 mm wide, accepts media 50–1,782 mm wide and rolls up to 24 kg. These limits are model-specific, not shared across the family. Both offer adjustable blade force of 5–600 gf and cutting speed of 30–1,530 mm/s. Maximum media thickness including backing is 0.8 mm; suitability also depends on the substrate and blade. The 50 m maximum cutting area is not a repeatability guarantee over that entire length. Connections include Ethernet, USB 2.0 and RS-232C.

Roland DGRoland DG

Roland DG manufactures wide-format printers, integrated print-and-cut systems, cutting plotters, engravers and milling equipment. These equipment groups serve sign production, textile decoration, product personalisation and industrial applications. When choosing equipment, first distinguish between printing alone, printing with cutting, and material processing through engraving or milling. An integrated print-and-cut system performs both operations in one machine, while a separate cutting plotter provides an independent workstation. The appropriate model depends on the material, workpiece format and planned production process.
